Maintenance RIG Electrician (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrician to join a high‑profile oil and gas project in Saudi Arabia. The role involves maintaining and repairing electrical systems on drilling rigs and related facilities, ensuring safe and reliable operation in hazardous environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance on power distribution, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, generators and electric motors.
• Install, troubleshoot and calibrate PLCs, VFDs and SCADA systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults, conduct voltage, current and continuity testing using diagnostic tools.
• Enforce HSE regulations and ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, ATEX and API standards for hazardous zones.
• Lead, mentor and train junior electricians and technicians.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with mechanical, instrumentation and operations teams, and maintain detailed logs and reports.
• Identify spare‑part and equipment needs to support procurement.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Electrical Maintenance.
• Minimum 8 years of oil‑and‑gas electrical maintenance experience, including at least 5 years as a Senior Electrician.
• Experience on drilling rigs, on‑shore platforms or production facilities.
• Algerian nationality, willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia for the project duration.
• Relevant certifications such as H2S Awareness, Rig Pass/IADC, BOSIET/HUET, CompEx/ATEX, OSHA/NEBOSH and First Aid.
