Massage Therapist

About the role

We are looking for a professional Massage Therapist to join our spa team in Oran. The role involves delivering high‑quality massage and body‑treatment services to guests while ensuring their safety and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Provide massage services using appropriate accessories and products.
• Perform body treatments such as scrubs, wraps and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest health status and contraindications (e.g., allergies, hypertension, pregnancy) before each session.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of current techniques and modalities.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and prepare the work station and linens.
• Monitor guest comfort throughout the service and adjust as needed.
• Promote and sell spa services and related retail products.
• Clean, sterilise and maintain all instruments and keep the treatment area tidy.
• Follow scheduled timings, report any safety incidents and adhere to company policies.
• Handle inappropriate guest behaviour according to Marriott International procedures.

Required profile

• Formal qualification in massage therapy or a related field.
• Valid regional licence to practice massage therapy.
• Excellent personal hygiene and professional appearance.
• Ability to work long periods standing, sitting or walking and lift items up to 10 lb.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Massage techniques (Swedish, deep‑tissue, etc.).
• Body treatment methods – scrubs, wraps, hydrotherapy.
• Sanitation and instrument sterilisation procedures.
• Guest assessment for contraindications.
