Operational Risk Analyst / Specialist

About the role

Bank ABC Algeria is seeking an Operational Risk Analyst/Specialist to support its risk management framework. The role involves monitoring, analysing and reporting operational risk events while working closely with business and support units to foster a strong risk culture.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the bank’s operational risk policies and standards.
• Monitor internal and external risk events and propose preventive measures.
• Collect, analyse and report operational risk incidents.
• Track corrective actions and provide necessary support to the affected units.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with business and support structures, offering advice to develop risk awareness.
• Work with control functions to strengthen the overall control environment.
• Optimize the use of risk‑management tools and techniques.
• Prepare and deliver regular risk reports to bank management and the Group.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of operational risk concepts and procedures.
• Minimum two years of experience in a banking environment.
• Higher education in Banking, Commercial Sciences, Finance, Management or Economics.
• Strong teamwork orientation and ability to adapt quickly.
• Proactive and responsive attitude.
