Optometrist – Full‑time Clinical Position

About the role

Excellence Clinique Ophtalmologique is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Optometrist to join its multidisciplinary eye‑care team in Algiers. You will provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose common visual conditions, and collaborate closely with ophthalmologists to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct complete eye exams, including refraction, visual acuity testing, and ocular health evaluation.
• Prescribe and adjust corrective lenses based on clinical findings.
• Diagnose and manage common visual disorders, referring complex cases to ophthalmologists as needed.
• Educate patients on eye health, preventive measures, and proper use of visual aids.
• Document clinical findings accurately and maintain up‑to‑date patient records.
• Operate diagnostic equipment safely and ensure efficient clinic workflow.

Required profile

• Professional training and certification in optometry with a valid Algerian license or eligibility to practice.
• Strong clinical competence in refraction, visual function assessment, and detection of ocular pathologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Clear, empathetic communication skills for patient counseling.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
• Proficiency in Arabic and/or French; English is an asset.
