Pedagogical Affairs Lead

About the role

The Pedagogical Affairs Lead is responsible for ensuring the academic quality, consistency and innovation of language and professional training programmes at HIS Higher Institute Of Sciences. This position bridges teachers, learners and management to deliver smooth, student‑centred programmes aligned with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee quality assurance of all programmes, ensuring alignment with institutional standards and learner needs.
• Launch, monitor and supervise new products and courses; develop and maintain programme and product documentation.
• Manage class substitutions and intervene to guarantee uninterrupted course delivery.
• Coordinate the annual academic calendar together with the Operations & Administration Coordinator.
• Support marketing initiatives by providing academic content for promotional materials.
• Lead teacher recruitment: post jobs, screen candidates, conduct interviews and manage onboarding.
• Maintain the teachers’ database and design hiring plans to meet institutional objectives.
• Conduct classroom observations, give constructive feedback and organise the annual teacher‑training calendar.
• Respond to teachers’ pedagogical requests, send kickoff communications and ensure consistency across courses.
• Monitor learner progress and attendance, address concerns and intervene when necessary.
• Handle placement, diagnostic and level assessments, including speaking tests, and recommend suitable programmes or materials.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in educational program management, teacher coordination or related pedagogical roles.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple programmes simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with teachers, learners and internal teams.
