Piscinier – Technicien de maintenance

About the role

The Piscinier is responsible for maintaining pool areas and related facilities, responding promptly to guest repair requests, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently. This position combines hands‑on technical work with guest service in a hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests for pool and facility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical‑room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines; carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved procedures.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and thorough clean‑up after work.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical components, HVAC filters, lighting, and other guestroom items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping‑related inventory, and use lockout/tagout procedures before work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and energy‑conservation.
• Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb unaided and perform heavier lifting with assistance.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to safety and company policies.
• Clear communication skills in English or French.
