Professional IT Business Application Specialist

About the role

The Information Technology Division of NDB is seeking a Professional IT Business Application Specialist to join its headquarters in Shanghai. The role focuses on implementing, enhancing, and supporting the bank’s business applications, ensuring they meet international standards and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support and extensions for institutional application systems such as HR, compliance, internal portals, digital workflow, procurement and collaboration tools.
• Design, deploy and continuously improve business applications to align with evolving requirements.
• Deliver production support, troubleshooting and user assistance to maintain system stability.
• Ensure all solutions comply with international best practices, regulatory frameworks and internal governance.
• Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams, identifying state‑of‑the‑art processes and future‑proof solutions.
• Design, source, implement and maintain cost‑optimized solutions with sound business justification.
• Engage stakeholders to understand needs, negotiate requirements and present viable solutions.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and develop technology interventions based on analysis.
• Prepare clear documentation and communicate requirements to internal and external parties.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business application implementation, enhancement and production support.
• Strong understanding of IT policies, standards and regulatory compliance within a banking environment.
• Ability to bridge business and technology, translating functional needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
