Project Director – EPC Delivery

About the role

The Project Director leads day-to-day delivery of GE Vernova's allocated Scope of Work under a Consortium Agreement, ensuring engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, cost, schedule and quality performance for GEV's own contractual obligations. The role manages GEV's internal delivery team and functional leads and coordinates with the Consortium Leader on cross-party alignment, customer communication and governance escalations. It is accountable only for GEV's delivery outcomes, not for the Partner's scope, resources or subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning in line with scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements.
• Manage GEV Project Managers and functional leads, and own the project budget, forecasting, cost control and margin performance.
• Manage the detailed schedule, critical path, milestones, long-lead items and recovery plans.
• Own GEV-side project risks and escalate cross-party risks to the Consortium Leader.
• Oversee engineering delivery, technical coordination, procurement, supply chain and construction readiness.
• Coordinate interfaces with consortium partners and escalate interface risks or delays.
• Ensure compliance with quality, documentation and HSE requirements, including day-to-day HSE leadership for site personnel.
• Partner with Commercial and Contracts teams on cost, claims and changes, and report progress, cost, risks, quality, HSE, KPIs and actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management.
• At least 15 years in major EPC, infrastructure or energy project delivery, including significant time in a senior Project Director/PM role.
• Experience delivering a defined scope within a multi-party or consortium project.
• Experience delivering projects in Algeria or comparable North African markets.
• Fluency in English; French and/or Arabic fluency desired.
• PMP or equivalent certification desirable; professional engineering qualification an advantage.
