Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability Director

About the role

The Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability Director will act as a senior member of ECCBC Algeria’s executive team, shaping the company’s external relations and sustainability agenda. This role combines strategic stakeholder engagement, brand communication, and the implementation of environmental initiatives to protect and enhance the company’s license to operate in Algeria.

Key responsibilities

• Represent ECCBC Algeria as an extended CoDir member in public affairs and external matters.
• Develop and execute the sustainability strategy, defining local action plans focused on recycling, water stewardship and community empowerment.
• Research industry trends and media coverage, producing communication reports to monitor brand perception against competitors.
• Identify, engage and manage relationships with community representatives, NGOs, public interest groups and institutions, creating commitment plans.
• Coordinate corporate communication with the Group and Coca‑Cola on stakeholder and media issues.
• Lead social activation programmes that strengthen ECCBC’s reputation and operational license.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (M2) or equivalent (Bac+5) in engineering, business or a related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in public affairs, communications, sustainability or related functions.
• Proven experience working with governmental bodies, NGOs and large consumer brands.
• Strong understanding of the beverage industry and Algerian market dynamics.
• Ability to operate within a senior leadership team and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
