Purchasing Specialist – Indirect Materials

About the role

The Purchasing Specialist will manage the procurement of indirect materials, ensuring optimal specifications, supplier selection, and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and plan requirements for designated indirect material categories in collaboration with user departments.
• Source, select, negotiate and approve suppliers, including conducting supplier audits when needed.
• Support user departments to define optimal material specifications.
• Negotiate and secure the best agreements using the Tactical Purchasing Process and appropriate contract formats.
• Implement and monitor global or regional agreements as applicable.
• Place and follow up orders in the Matrix system according to contracts.
• Control invoices in line with company guidelines.
• Report agreed KPIs to the Purchasing Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience.
• Knowledge of customs regulations for import and export.
• Fluency in English, French and Arabic.
