R&D Specialist

About the role

The R&D Specialist will lead the development, implementation and optimisation of LHC and beauty‑care products for the Algerian market. Working closely with Henkel specifications, the role ensures technical feasibility, manages documentation and supports product launches and relaunches.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise new product formulas in compliance with Henkel standards and local regulations.
• Manage all technical documents throughout the product lifecycle, from pre‑launch to post‑launch.
• Coordinate trials, pilot productions and scale‑up activities for new launches, relaunches and maintenance projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies covering formulation, processing, cost, raw‑material sourcing and regulatory aspects.
• Lead PSRA topics for Maghreb countries and ensure alignment with Henkel processes.
• Support approval of new raw‑material sources, artwork validation and competitor analysis.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (M2) or engineering degree in chemistry, formulation science or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in product development, preferably in cosmetics or personal care.
• Strong knowledge of good manufacturing practices, quality, hygiene and safety standards.
