About the role
We are looking for a meticulous Remote Legal Assistant to support our legal team in handling US and UK matters. The role is full‑time and involves drafting documents, managing case files, and conducting legal research while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents such as motions, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files, ensuring proper archiving.
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, or PACER.
- Serve as liaison between attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Manage legal calendars, schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings.
- File documents with courts and government agencies in compliance with legal standards.
- Handle telephone calls, email correspondence, and billing tasks.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or legal secretary in US or UK law.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a Paralegal Certification.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High‑speed, stable internet connection and reliable power supply.
