Security Executive - West Region (Algeria)

About the role

BAT is looking for a Security Executive for its West Region in Algeria. The role protects people, products, assets, information, operations and business continuity through proactive, intelligence-led, risk-based security management, leading day-to-day operations and trade security across the Oran factory, warehouses, distribution routes, third-party logistics, trade teams and field-force activities. It supports the Country Security Manager and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Algeria and MENA security strategy and maintain security risk assessments, tracking mitigation actions to closure
• Maintain physical and electronic security controls (guarding, access control, CCTV, alarms, control room, vehicle screening) and protect finished goods and assets
• Coordinate route risk reviews, transport clearances, vehicle tracking, driver security and responses to product loss, diversion or robbery
• Support trade teams with security on field movements, cash exposure, market visits, events and travel, and monitor smuggling, counterfeiting and theft
• Support incident response and investigations, and review and exercise business continuity plans
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly incidents, risk, contractor, KPI, audit and management reports
• Supervise regional security staff and third-party guarding teams, manage their KPIs and service reviews, and maintain SOPs, emergency plans and training records
• Plan audits, inspections and drills, support security budgets and procurement, and lead the regional security team
• Act as the main regional security point of contact during incidents and emergencies, and deputize for the Country Security Manager

Required profile

• Experience in corporate, manufacturing, logistics, supply-chain, trade, military, law-enforcement or private-sector security
• Ability to supervise security teams and service providers across multiple sites and mobile operations
• Fluency in Arabic and French, with strong English
• Willingness to travel or work outside normal hours when operationally required
