Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead daily accounting activities for Salvo Grima Group’s operations in Algeria, ensuring accurate records, strong internal controls, and reliable reporting. This hands‑on finance position supports the Head of Finance and acts as the financial engine of the travel‑retail business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, postings and supporting documentation.
• Perform bank, cash and supplier reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage supplier accounts and assist with payment preparation.
• Prepare month‑end schedules and support management reporting.
• Assist with stock accounting and inventory reconciliations.
• Support tax, audit and inter‑company reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with finance policies, controls and promptly escalate issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong experience in accounting, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Knowledge of supplier, payroll, accruals and inventory accounting.
• Fluent in French, Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with Business Central or similar financial ERP.
