Senior Finance Manager - Maghreb Cluster

About the role

Amgen is looking for a Senior Finance Manager for its Maghreb Cluster. The role reports to the MEA Finance Director and the General Manager of the Maghreb Cluster and covers financial leadership, budgeting, forecasting and FP&A support across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Select, train, coordinate and coach staff, and provide leadership, consultancy and financial support to company functions, teams and departments
• Manage preparation of forecasts and budgets, recommend actions based on budget deviation analysis, and act as the link between Finance and Business Units
• Lead business planning and decision-making, including financial analysis and "what-if" scenario modelling, and ensure timely monthly sales trend forecasts
• Monitor actual versus forecast costs and revenues monthly, quarterly and annually, track activity-based OPEX and consolidate budget, estimates and variances
• Support long-term planning, ensure no overdue receivables with Customer Finance, and collect and consolidate data from all departments
• Ensure efficient monitoring of contracts (insurance, leasing, rent) and lead local FP&A projects, possibly taking part in MEA / ICON projects
• Provide decision support to BU managers and stakeholders, prepare management reports, and ensure data integrity across Hyperion, Anaplan and budget decks
• Implement corporate and local guidelines, respond to internal and external audit and control requests, and coach and mentor Finance staff

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Business Administration or Finance
• More than 6 years' experience in a similar position in an international environment
• Experience in accounting, budgeting and planning
• Fluent English; written and spoken French is a prerequisite; Arabic highly preferred
• Preferred: finance specialisation studies, MBA, 2-3 years in a management position in an international finance department, industry knowledge, basic knowledge of VAT and US GAAP, and experience with SAP FI/CO and BI tools
