Senior Grant & Finance Officer

About the role

Oxfam is seeking a Senior Grant & Finance Officer for its office in the Sahrawi refugee camps in Tindouf, Algeria. The role will support the financial management of projects, ensure compliance with donor rules and oversee partner accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that all expenses comply with Oxfam and donor rules, ensuring proper approval and complete documentation.
• Lead monthly and annual account closings, prepare journal entries and supervise the accountant.
• Manage cash flow and treasury planning, prepare cash requests and monitor fund availability.
• Oversee bank and cash management, perform monthly reconciliations and validate cash counts.
• Monitor grant budgets, track expenditure against budgets, prepare variance analysis and budget revisions.
• Prepare and review financial reports for donors, ensuring accuracy and donor compliance.

Required profile

• University degree – Licence (Bac+3) or Master 2 / Ingéniorat (Bac+5) in finance, accounting or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in financial management, grant administration or accounting, preferably in humanitarian settings.
