Senior Presales Engineer

About the role

The Senior Presales Engineer provides technical expertise, solution design, product demonstrations and customer engagement across the sales lifecycle. Acting as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, the role turns business needs into effective technical solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with communication and presentation skills.

Key responsibilities

• Work with sales teams to understand customer business and technical requirements, and design and propose suitable technical solutions
• Prepare technical proposals, solution architectures and statements of work; respond to RFPs, RFIs and RFQs with technical input
• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and proof-of-concept sessions; assist in effort estimation, BOM preparation and solution sizing
• Take part in customer meetings, workshops and discovery sessions, explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and build trusted relationships with customers, partners and internal teams
• Prepare high-level and low-level solution designs, architecture diagrams, implementation approaches and integration workflows, following best practices, scalability, security and compliance standards
• Coordinate with engineering, delivery, product and support teams, and work with project managers and solution architects during transition to delivery
• Support continuous improvement of presales assets, templates and demo environments, and stay up to date on industry trends, competitors and emerging technologies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
• 3-6 years of experience in presales, solution engineering, systems engineering or technical consulting
• Experience preparing technical proposals and responding to RFPs
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT solutions, cloud technologies, integrations and software architectures
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
• Experience in the KSA and UAE markets preferred

Required skills

• Knowledge of APIs, integrations, databases and enterprise applications
• Preferred: cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
• Preferred: familiarity with cybersecurity, infrastructure, data or AI solutions
• Preferred: diagramming and documentation tools such as Visio or Draw.io
• Preferred: relevant technical certifications
