Senior Project Engineer

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards. This role supports the Project Manager across all operational areas, from planning and cost control to safety and subcontractor management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from conception to completion, monitoring schedules, budgets, and quality.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to develop plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Supervise on‑site activities, including labor, material, and equipment scheduling.
• Identify and mitigate risks, delays, and issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure design and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and review contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Track project expenditures, forecast costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
• Promote safety awareness and support HSE initiatives in line with company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in relevant project engineering roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional registration as MMUP Engineer (UPDA) is a plus.
• Experience working in the GCC region is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software for scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
• ERP knowledge, preferably functional SAP skills.
