Senior Public Relations & Advertising Specialist

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Senior Public Relations and Advertising Specialist to support the EU DG MENA communication outreach project across the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf. The expert will work on a short‑term, on‑demand basis, providing strategic and operational communication support for a 36‑month implementation period.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute public relations and media outreach strategies aligned with EU policy objectives.
• Plan, negotiate and manage media buying and advertising campaigns across traditional and digital channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with media organisations, journalists and communication partners.
• Prepare and disseminate press materials, media kits and promotional content.
• Coordinate PR campaigns to maximise visibility of EU initiatives and events.
• Monitor media coverage and campaign performance, producing analytical reports and recommendations.
• Advise on reputation management, audience engagement and communication opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal communication teams, creative agencies and external service providers to ensure consistent delivery.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent) in Public Relations, Communication, Marketing or a related field.
• Fluent English.
• Minimum 5 years of general PR/advertising experience.
• At least 3 years of specific experience negotiating media buys and managing PR campaigns.
• Experience with EU institutions is an asset.
