Software Engineer - Short-Term Rental Platform (Remote, Algeria)

About the role

Base360.ai is the AI operating system for short-term rental businesses, built by The Flex, the largest short-term rental operator in Algeria. It brings reservations, guest communication, pricing, payments, cleaning, maintenance and reporting into one platform. The company is looking for an ambitious Software Engineer based in Algeria to build systems that solve real problems at scale, working remotely from any wilaya.

Key responsibilities

• Build the core platform: scalable applications, services and APIs for reservations, availability, pricing, payments, guest experiences and property operations.
• Create event-driven automations, such as scheduling cleaning after a booking, sending check-in instructions and generating owner statements.
• Develop AI-powered systems using LLMs and AI agents to automate guest communication, triage maintenance requests and support pricing decisions.
• Design robust APIs connecting internal services, booking channels, third-party providers and customer systems.
• Build and maintain integrations with platforms such as Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI and Google.
• Solve complex operational problems: real-time reservation and availability sync, dynamic pricing, smart locks, automated guest communication, cleaning and maintenance automation, owner reporting and AI-powered monitoring.
• Own projects end to end, from understanding the problem to architecture, implementation, deployment and ongoing improvement.

Required profile

• Experience building and owning production software.
• A solid understanding of APIs, databases and cloud architecture.
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a product mindset.
• Curiosity about AI, automation and operational efficiency; a bias toward shipping and learning from real users.
• Bonus: experience with short-term rentals or hospitality tech, multi-tenant SaaS, booking channel integrations, AI agents, event-driven architectures, Supabase or AWS serverless.
