About the role
Design, implement, and maintain robust storage and systems infrastructure in a dual‑datacenter telecom BSS managed services environment. The role combines hands‑on engineering across HPE 3PAR & Primera, virtualization, backup, and OS platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain enterprise‑grade storage architectures, including HPE 3PAR, Primera, and RMC.
- Provide L2/L3 support, configure, monitor, and optimize storage arrays via SSMC and CLI.
- Execute upgrades, replication (asynchronous and synchronous), and disaster‑recovery processes.
- Administer NAS services, NFS file systems, and SAN concepts such as FC zoning and multipathing.
- Lead backup, restore, snapshot, and RMC workflow activities.
- Collaborate with VMware, Windows, and Linux teams for integration and troubleshooting.
- Automate tasks using Ansible, shell scripting, and PowerShell.
- Maintain SOPs, documentation, and ensure ITIL‑aligned operations.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- 6–7 years of systems and storage engineering experience, preferably in telecom or managed services.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
Required skills
- HPE 3PAR, HPE Primera, HPE RMC.
- SAN (FC/iSCSI), NAS, NFS, replication, backup/restore.
- Linux (Oracle Linux, Rocky Linux, RHEL), Windows Server, XFS, ext4.
- VMware ESXi, vCenter, vMotion, HA, DRS, vCHA.
- Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN configuration.
- Automation: Ansible, Shell, PowerShell.
- High‑availability clustering: Veritas Cluster, Service Guard, RHCS.
