Storekeeper

About the role

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing inventory, organizing storage areas, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the organization. This role involves receiving, storing, and issuing supplies while maintaining accurate records and supporting operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities and quality against purchase orders or packing slips.
• Organize and maintain storage areas, label items, and keep inventory accessible.
• Issue materials to authorized personnel based on requisitions, maintaining precise transaction records.
• Monitor stock levels, reorder supplies to avoid stockouts, and conduct regular inventory audits.
• Inspect goods for damage, document discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions with suppliers.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in storage areas, following HSE protocols.
• Assist in disposal or recycling of obsolete inventory according to procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill material requests promptly.
• Use inventory management software to track movements, update records, and generate reports.
• Support HSE initiatives and participate in safety awareness activities.

Required profile

• Experience handling inventory and conducting regular stock audits.
• Ability to follow safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping.
