Storekeeper (Magasinier) – Full‑time

About the role

The Storekeeper (Magasinier) is responsible for receiving, handling and organizing merchandise for the hotel’s various departments. This full‑time position ensures that stock is stored correctly, rotated, and readily available while maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, label appropriately and deliver to the correct area.
• Stack received items on pallets or carts and complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of low inventory in a timely manner.
• Store perishables properly, rotate stock, and inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness and quality.
• Refuse damaged, unacceptable or incorrect items and adhere to food‑safety policies.
• Organize, clean and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.
• Follow all company policies, maintain a professional appearance and protect confidential information.
• Communicate clearly with guests and co‑workers and support team goals.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting and moving objects up to 50 lb, and navigating narrow or elevated spaces.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience or specific licenses required.
• Ability to read and verify information in small print.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift and move items up to 50 lb and work in confined or elevated areas.
