Thermoforming Technical Document & Data Control Specialist – PDM/ERP

About the role

This position owns the controlled engineering documentation and ERP master data for heavy‑gauge thermoforming programs, ensuring that all specifications, drawings, and item records are accurate and released before production work orders are issued. The specialist works closely with the plant to eliminate documentation‑driven downtime and supports daily production cadence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and release SolidWorks drawings and specifications; maintain EPDM/PDM records, revision history, and metadata.
• Manage redlines, legacy drawing cleanup, and rapid‑turn edits to meet urgent production needs.
• Create and maintain NetSuite item masters, BOMs, routings, work instructions, and packaging instructions.
• Ensure BOM and inventory hygiene so work orders reflect all required components.
• Administer the full Engineering Change Request/Order process, route approvals, track progress, and document closure in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
• Initiate and manage deviations, obtain approvals, and ensure proper classification and closure.
• Provide immediate support to plant personnel during normal business hours and participate in production launch error‑proof meetings.

Required profile

• Experience in engineering documentation control within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with heavy‑gauge thermoforming or similar high‑volume production processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple data streams simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.
