TIG Welder – Industrial & Energy Technology Team

About the role

Join the Industrial and Energy Technology (IET) team at Baker Hughes as a TIG Welder. You will perform TIG welding operations on industrial components, supporting the Engineering Transformation effort that serves the global energy and industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Execute welding and repair activities while meeting customer and company quality requirements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, repair instructions and process documentation.
• Inspect completed work to ensure conformity with quality standards and acceptance criteria.
• Support inspection, repair and restoration of industrial components.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Complete work within established productivity and turnaround‑time targets.
• Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to achieve operational priorities.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma, Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent qualification in welding, mechanical maintenance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of TIG welding experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience in gas turbine, power generation, aerospace, oil & gas or heavy‑industrial sectors is highly preferred.
• Relevant welding certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
