Algeria Logistics Process Control Lead

About the role

The Algeria Logistics Process Control Lead will drive logistics governance, operational excellence and continuous improvement across Unilever's logistics network in Algeria. Reporting to senior logistics management, the role acts as the central hub between logistics operations, finance and other key stakeholders to ensure outbound logistics, storage, inventory control and supplier performance are optimised.

Key responsibilities

• Review and maintain all logistics processes for finished goods (FG) and raw material (RPM) ensuring documentation is up‑to‑date.
• Monitor pallet purchase, consumption and return processes, providing weekly reviews and ensuring pallet return documents accompany each order.
• Represent logistics in cross‑functional forums and coordinate with stakeholders for both FG and RPM.
• Support monthly distribution cost reviews with finance and track destruction, recycling and saving actions.
• Oversee warehouse safety, quality actions and ensure zero gaps between SAP and WMS stock records.
• Guarantee same‑day system and physical transfers, and achieve zero variance in monthly inventory reconciliation.
• Follow up on purchase order issues, reception trackers and ensure all mandatory training is completed on time.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in logistics operations management and process governance.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to quickly understand and improve operational processes.
• Open to coaching, feedback and committed to execution and follow‑through.
• Interest in operational excellence and logistics transformation.
