Application Engineer

About the role

Join Nalco Water, part of Ecolab, as an Application Engineer supporting water‑treatment solutions for industrial customers in Jijel, Algeria. You will work autonomously, building long‑term client relationships and delivering technical projects that solve real‑world water challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives in strategic district accounts, executing system assurance and continuous‑improvement plans.
• Assist with plant surveys, start‑ups of new applications, and technical support for both existing and prospective customers.
• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and act as the technical liaison for district sales teams.
• Identify and resolve customer pain points, perform system analysis, interpret data, and deliver written recommendations.
• Perform sample testing, light maintenance, chemical ordering, inventory management, and generate service reports.
• Adhere to Ecolab safety guidelines and incident‑reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 2 years of technical service or field‑sales support experience.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor‑vehicle record.
• Willingness to travel within the Jijel territory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
