Application Engineer – Water Treatment

About the role

Join Nalco’s Water team as an Application Engineer, supporting water‑treatment solutions for diverse industrial customers in Jijel, Algeria. You will work autonomously, building long‑term client relationships while delivering technical projects that solve real‑world problems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide routine service support to sales representatives in strategic district accounts.
• Conduct plant surveys, start‑ups of new applications, and continuous‑improvement plans.
• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and act as technical liaison.
• Perform system analysis, interpret data, and issue written recommendations to optimise customer operations.
• Execute sample testing, light maintenance, chemical ordering, inventory management, and generate service reports.
• Follow Ecolab safety guidelines and incident‑reporting procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of technical service or field‑sales support experience.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor‑vehicle record.
• Willingness to travel within the Jijel territory.

Required skills

• Chemistry knowledge.
• Water‑treatment and specialty‑chemical industry experience.
• Working knowledge of boiler and cooling systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Sample testing and basic maintenance techniques.
