Commercial Operations Manager

About the role

The Commercial Operations Manager will lead contract negotiation, risk assessment and commercial compliance during the Inquiry‑to‑Order (ITO) phase. The role ensures rigorous deal making, aligns with customer critical-to‑quality (CTQ) requirements and drives operational excellence across the commercial lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review, redline and negotiate customer terms, conditions and other contractual documents.
• Identify, register and manage commercial risks using the Risk Assessment Matrix and Salesforce tools.
• Lead the development of contractual schemes and industrial models in collaboration with Tax, Legal, Finance, Operations and EHS stakeholders.
• Conduct risk review sessions, obtain leadership approvals and ensure alignment with Grid Solutions Deal Risk Management policies.
• Draft, discuss and negotiate NDAs, consortium agreements and related declaration forms.
• Provide commercial expertise to regional sales teams, enforce risk policies and promote best‑practice standards.
• Support ITO teams with KPI monitoring, risk/opportunity analysis and mitigation strategy development.
• Drive change‑management initiatives to shorten cycle times, reduce costs and improve service quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial operations, contract negotiation or risk management.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and influence senior leadership.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in proposal generation and commercial risk assessment.
