About the role

We are seeking a visionary Creative Writer to become the voice of our brand. Working remotely, you will blend emotional storytelling with strategic marketing goals to produce high‑conversion copy, engaging scripts, and immersive blog posts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a consistent, captivating brand voice across all digital touchpoints.
• Write high‑quality long‑form and short‑form content, including blogs, articles, and whitepapers.
• Conceptualize and script audio‑visual content for podcasts, YouTube, TikTok, and Meta ads.
• Craft conversion‑focused ad copy and landing‑page text that drives engagement and sales.
• Research emerging cultural trends across Africa and optimise content for SEO.
• Collaborate with remote design and video teams to align written and visual assets.

Required profile

• Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of professional creative writing, copywriting, or content creation experience.
• Strong portfolio showcasing brand storytelling and copywriting work.
• Deep understanding of the African socioeconomic landscape and pop culture.
• Exceptional command of English with flawless grammar and proofreading skills.
• Self‑driven, highly organised and able to meet strict deadlines without constant supervision.

Required skills

• Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress.
• Proficiency in digital collaboration tools like Slack and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and trend analysis.
