Drilling Superintendent

About the role

The Drilling Superintendent will lead all drilling activities, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget while complying with company standards and Algerian regulations. This senior position requires strong leadership on rig sites and close coordination with contractors and service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage daily and long‑term drilling plans, guaranteeing technical and safety compliance.
• Supervise well design, drilling parameters, and performance optimisation.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers to ensure timely delivery and quality performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary rig‑site teams, fostering collaboration and a strong safety culture.
• Monitor drilling progress, prepare daily reports, and analyse operational data to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• University Engineering degree in Petroleum, Mechanical or a related field.
• IWCF Level 4 (Supervisor) certification.
• Minimum 10 years of drilling experience, including at least 3 years in Algeria.
• Proven ability to lead teams under pressure and make decisive decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Landmark software (COMPASS, WELLPLAN).
• Strong command of MS Project for planning and scheduling.
