EHS & Quality Specialist

About the role

The EHS & Quality Specialist ensures that manufacturing operations meet the highest standards of quality, regulatory compliance, and environmental health & safety. You will support continuous improvement, audits, supplier quality, customer inspections, and employee safety programs across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plan.
• Implement the Quality Management System, including inspections, calibrations, procedures, and quality documentation.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers to resolve vendor‑related quality issues.
• Issue Non‑Conformities, track corrective actions, and ensure timely closure.
• Lead pre‑inspection meetings and coordinate customer factory visits for witness inspections.
• Oversee internal processes such as NCRs and internal audits, ensuring data accuracy and effective corrective actions.
• Design and run site programs that promote employee engagement and a strong EHS culture.
• Ensure compliance with GE Vernova EHS policies, legal regulations, and waste‑management requirements.
• Support the Cluster Leader in implementing the GEV EHS framework and lead site audits, accident investigations, and other EHS concerns.
• Supervise and deliver initial HSE training for employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in Quality Control or EHS.
• Knowledge of quality and EHS management systems and problem‑solving methodologies.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English, Arabic, and French.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across North Africa.
