Freight Operations Executive

About the role

The Freight Operations Executive is responsible for managing end‑to‑end international sea and air freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate sea (FCL, LCL, breakbulk) and air freight bookings with carriers, overseas agents and internal teams.
• Plan cargo collection, consolidation, transportation and final delivery while monitoring shipments from origin to destination.
• Prepare and review all shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, customs paperwork) to meet local and international regulations.
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers, providing status updates, handling inquiries and resolving service issues.
• Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, trucking companies, port/airport authorities and internal departments such as Sales, Customs Clearance and Finance.
• Verify supplier invoices, prepare shipment files for customer invoicing, monitor transportation costs and support profitability targets.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customs regulations and international shipping standards while contributing to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of experience in freight forwarding operations with solid knowledge of regulations.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Professional written communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
