Master Body and Paint Technician

About the role

The Master Body and Paint Technician is responsible for delivering high‑quality vehicle body repairs and paint work in line with manufacturer standards. The role ensures safety, quality, and knowledge transfer to local staff while supporting the workshop’s operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and determine root causes of bodywork and paint issues.
• Support front‑line technicians in damage evaluation and estimation.
• Perform panel beating, adjustments, part replacements, and chassis alignment repairs.
• Execute surface preparation, paint mixing, color matching, and final painting.
• Maintain and operate the paint spray booth safely, managing chemicals and PPE.
• Complete repair orders within allocated time and communicate progress to chief technicians.
• Conduct quality control checks and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
• Provide coaching, practical training, and support for apprenticeship programs.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers to ensure proper tool usage.

Required profile

• Proven experience in automotive body repair and painting.
• Strong diagnostic skills for both body and paint problems.
• Ability to train and mentor junior staff and apprentices.
• Commitment to safety standards and continuous improvement.
