About the role
Baladna El Djazaier is building a $3.5 billion agro‑industrial hub in Algeria. The company seeks a Procurement Category Lead to drive category strategy, sourcing and supplier management for its large‑scale dairy and agricultural operations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned categories.
- Lead sourcing activities, tender processes and contract negotiations.
- Manage supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations.
- Identify cost‑saving and value‑creation opportunities across the supply chain.
- Collaborate with internal departments to meet operational requirements.
- Monitor procurement KPIs and mitigate supply‑chain risks.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of procurement experience, including category management and strategic sourcing.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and lead cross‑functional teams.
Required skills
- Supplier management and contract negotiation.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Advanced analytical capabilities.
