Senior Procurement Manager

About the role

The Senior Procurement Manager will lead the strategic planning and execution of all purchasing activities for Apex Health in Algeria. Reporting to senior leadership, the role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships and ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality acquisition of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate supply strategies, aligning stakeholders across the organization.
• Lead savings and cash‑flow programmes within assigned categories, clusters or business units.
• Negotiate high‑value contracts and manage supplier performance to meet quality and cost targets.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks while capitalising on market opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement, work simplification and elimination of non‑value‑added activities.
• Monitor compliance with HSE policies and support incident reporting in line with company standards.
• Develop metrics, tools and processes to optimise sourcing efficiency and supplier activities.
• Collaborate with internal and external executives to foster long‑term partnerships and competitive advantage.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or supply‑chain management.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and managing large‑scale contracts.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities, with a focus on results.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and remove organisational barriers.
