Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the measurement, valuation and commercial control of subcontractor work, client variations and claims across its energy infrastructure projects. The role will work closely with the Quantity Surveyor Manager and the wider project team to ensure accurate cost reporting and timely payments.

Key responsibilities

• Measure quantities for subcontractor work, client variations and other commercial items.
• Download, update and track discipline BOQs from SCMS at 30%, 60%, 90% and final model reviews.
• Approve subcontractor interim payments, variations, claims and final measurements.
• Maintain records of material take‑off (MTO), BOQ measurements and free‑issue materials.
• Coordinate and verify third‑party services, quantities and invoices.
• Provide cost input to the estimation team and support HSE and quality procedures.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in quantity surveying within construction or energy projects.
• Proven ability to manage BOQ updates, interim payments and variation claims.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under project deadlines.

Required skills

• SCMS (Sub‑Contract Management System) proficiency.
• Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation and tracking.
• Material Take‑Off (MTO) and measurement based on drawings and specifications.
• Interim payment approval processes.
