Tax Manager

About the role

The Tax Manager will lead the tax compliance function for Huawei Telecommunications Algeria, ensuring accurate filing and reporting in line with local regulations. This role collaborates closely with the CFO, regional offices and project teams to provide timely tax advice and support.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that all accounting support documents comply with Algerian tax law.
• Ensure correct tax bookings and guarantee monthly and annual tax filings are submitted on time.
• Prepare and review tax returns, tax asset information and other tax reports required by the CFO and regional offices.
• Monitor changes in local tax legislation and update the internal tax filing manual accordingly.
• Provide tax support for ongoing projects and advise on tax implications.

Required profile

• Licence or Master degree in Accounting, Auditing or Management Control.
• 5 + years of experience as a Tax Manager or senior tax accountant in a consultancy firm or an international company.
• Fluency in French, English and Arabic.
• Strong knowledge of Algerian accounting standards and tax requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with PCCompta or similar local accounting software.
