Tax Supervisor

About the role

The Tax Supervisor will act as a strategic business partner, ensuring the company complies with Algerian tax legislation while driving tax efficiency and supporting commercial performance. This role combines advisory, compliance, and risk‑mitigation activities within a dynamic pharmaceutical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with all applicable Algerian tax laws, including VAT, IBS, IRG, TAP and G50 declarations.
• Maintain and improve corporate tax governance processes, process maps and tax guidelines.
• Provide proactive tax advice to finance and business teams, aligning recommendations with the overall tax strategy.
• Prepare and manage transfer pricing documentation and inter‑company agreements.
• Interact with tax authorities, handling audits, inquiries and dispute resolution.
• Monitor legislative changes, interpret their impact and implement necessary adjustments.
• Support tax compliance, tax audits and related reporting activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in a Big 4 firm or multinational FMCG/pharmaceutical company.
• Strong knowledge of Algerian tax regulations and corporate tax governance requirements.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Demonstrated experience in tax compliance, audits and transfer pricing.
• Good understanding of corporate finance and tax planning principles.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Algerian tax legislation (VAT, IBS, IRG, TAP, G50).
• Expertise in transfer pricing documentation and inter‑company agreements.
• Familiarity with investment laws and related project documentation.
• Ability to interpret and apply changes in tax legislation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail capabilities.
• Effective stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
