Brand Safety & IP Specialist (Remote)

About the role

A remote, 100% online position for a legal professional with a strong background in intellectual property law, copyright and social media platform compliance (Meta, YouTube, Snapchat). The specialist handles legal research, agreement drafting and risk assessment across digital platforms, working with editorial, production and management teams on content safety, UGC licensing and copyright claims.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, analyse and negotiate content licensing, UGC and commercial agreements with a turnaround of 2-3 days maximum
• Assess legal, reputational and monetization risks on Meta, YouTube and Snapchat under copyright and brand safety guidelines
• Research and write clear legal memos and advice for non-legal internal teams
• Handle copyright claims, strikes, disputes and appeals directly with platform systems

Required profile

• Bachelor's AND Master's degree in Law (IP, media law, copyright, AI or business law)
• Bar exam qualification and/or PhD are a strong plus
• Prior experience in a company or law firm handling IP/copyright; digital media, content production or brand safety experience is highly valued
• Professional fluency in legal English; French is a very strong plus
• Excellent writing and communication skills, high autonomy and comfort with high-volume workflows

What we offer

• Base monthly fee of USD 1,300, billed monthly and paid by ACH/Wire in two installments (15th and 30th of the following month)
• Service contract as an independent contractor, fully remote
