DME Technician

About the role

Halliburton is hiring a DME Technician in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria, under direct supervision. The role covers identifying, maintaining and repairing discharge manifold equipment (DME), including disassembly, inspection preparation and reassembly, and supporting the DME re-qualification process. It is a full-time position within the Support Services product service line.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, maintain and repair a variety of discharge manifold equipment (DME).
• Disassemble, prepare for inspection and reassemble DME.
• Take part in banding, tagging and final preparation, including painting and colour coding of DME.
• Assist with documentation produced in the DME re-qualification process.
• Follow detailed work processes in the Halliburton Management System (HMS) during daily tasks.
• Perform duties safely, efficiently and effectively, helping others as directed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Non-commercial driver's licence.
• Experience in oilfield operations and/or DME operations is preferred.

The work affects cost containment, efficiency and profitability; errors can cause failure of high-pressure pumping systems, which may lead to serious injury or death. Compensation is described as competitive and commensurate with experience.
