Field Associate - MWD (Junior)

About the role

Halliburton is hiring a junior field associate for its LWD (Measurement-While-Drilling) service line in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria. This is an entry-level, full-time field position under strict supervision, aimed at learning the job role and providing technical support to external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on-site supervision of the MWD process, including tool preparation, data acquisition, log generation, quality control and delivery of services to the customer.
• Serve as a third person in a subordinate role and provide technical and operational expertise to external customers.
• Perform assignments requiring knowledge of basic engineering and measurement-while-drilling principles.
• Maintain equipment inventory, supervise its movement to and from the well site, check equipment and advise on repairs.
• Maintain the computer database for ongoing jobs, prepare job tickets, daily reports and end-of-well reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; no previous experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline preferred.
• Must have passed company tests or met task guideline requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret formation well logs, directional survey information and other well site data.
• Relevant onshore and offshore safety certificates.

Required skills

• Good communication, arithmetic, data entry and recording skills.
• Technical aptitude to the required standards.
• Completion of the basic M/LWD training program.
