Field Engineer

About the role

The Field Engineer will join multi‑disciplined project teams that design and deliver complex, mission‑critical voice and data communication systems for government and commercial customers. The role operates within Motorola Solutions' International Markets post‑sales organisation, supporting both customer‑owned solutions and Managed Services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and perform detailed implementation of communication system solutions to meet customer, end‑user and operator requirements.
• Support the creation and update of "as‑built" system documentation.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on customer systems under support contracts.
• Build and maintain customer relationships by presenting technical solutions, providing consultations, and delivering required documentation.
• Coordinate third‑party ordering, installation, integration, quality management, acceptance testing, and technical change management.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and on‑site Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), overseeing all technical aspects.

Required profile

• Experience in field implementation and maintenance of communication systems.
• Ability to work within post‑sales technical teams and manage customer interactions.
• Familiarity with acceptance testing processes (FAT/SAT) and documentation standards.
