Global Vice President of Engineering & Construction – Telecom

About the role

This executive position leads the engineering and construction portfolio for a global infrastructure firm, focusing on telecom fibre, civil works and data‑centre projects across Africa, the Middle East and Asia. The role is remote with flexibility, requiring extensive international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and executive oversight to bidding and project delivery teams across multiple operating companies.
• Drive portfolio performance against revenue, margin, quality and client‑satisfaction targets.
• Strengthen end‑to‑end engineering and construction lifecycle through coordinated bid and execution processes.
• Validate major bids, programme strategies, risk mitigation plans and change requests.
• Lead expansion of capabilities into fibre‑optic and data‑centre sectors, identifying growth opportunities and scalable delivery models.
• Ensure governance, compliance and risk management across the portfolio, improving forecasting, reporting and performance transparency.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in telecom infrastructure construction projects across Africa.
• Fluency in French, Arabic and English.
• Established network of EPC suppliers and a track record of winning and delivering fibre‑optic, civil works and data‑centre edge projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% internationally.
