Field Support Specialist (Freelance / Dispatch)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Field Support Specialist to provide on‑site technical assistance when full‑time engineers are unavailable. This freelance position involves back‑fill support across multiple locations, ensuring business continuity for end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site IT support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software according to organizational standards.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities for IT assets.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including break‑fix support.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for repairs, replacements, and escalations.
• Manage IT inventory, asset tracking, and documentation.
• Image laptops and desktops and support printer/network printer installations.
• Assist with conference‑room AV setup and meeting‑room technologies.
• Provide high‑touch VIP/end‑user support and after‑hours coverage when required.
