Italian Pizza Chef (Pizzaiolo)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Italian Pizza Chef (Pizzaiolo) to join our premium restaurant team. The successful candidate will craft authentic Neapolitan, Roman and other regional pizzas, ensuring high‑quality output in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Italian‑style pizzas, including Neapolitan and Roman varieties.
• Mix, ferment and hand‑stretch fresh pizza dough daily using traditional methods.
• Operate and maintain wood‑fired, gas or stone ovens, monitoring temperature and cooking times.
• Slice, prepare and store toppings, sauces and cheeses, maintaining freshness.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, portion control and adherence to hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station and overall kitchen.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management on recipe refinement and menu development.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of professional experience as a Pizza Chef, Pizzaiolo or similar role.
• Proven ability to produce Italian‑style pizzas in a restaurant or pizzeria setting.
• Strong knowledge of traditional pizza‑making techniques, dough hydration and fermentation.
• Ability to work efficiently during high‑volume service and as part of a multicultural team.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Required skills

• Operation of wood‑fired, gas or stone pizza ovens.
• Pizza dough fermentation and hand‑stretching techniques.
• Knowledge of Neapolitan‑style pizza preparation.
• Understanding of Italian ingredients and traditional flavor combinations.
• Food safety and HACCP compliance.
