Revenue Manager - Reservations

About the role

The Revenue Manager in charge of Reservations maximizes the hotel's room revenue and commercial performance through revenue management, pricing, forecasting and distribution strategies. The role also oversees the Reservations function so that all bookings are handled accurately and efficiently in line with IHG standards, working closely with Sales, Front Office, Finance and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize room revenue, occupancy and profitability, and monitor market trends, competitor rates, booking pace and demand.
• Prepare forecasts, monitor Occupancy, ADR and RevPAR, and recommend corrective actions.
• Supervise daily Reservations operations, ensuring accurate and timely handling of individual and group bookings, and keeping rates, booking details, guest profiles and special requests accurate in the reservation systems.
• Monitor enquiries, cancellations, no-shows and reservation performance, ensuring compliance with IHG standards.
• Prepare and analyse reports on revenue, pick-up, booking pace, forecasts and distribution channels, compare performance against budget and forecast, and act on identified opportunities.
• Supervise, support and train the Reservations team, and collaborate with Sales, Front Office, Finance and Operations to optimize revenue, coordinate business opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business, Revenue Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel revenue management and/or reservations, with responsibility for pricing, forecasting and reservation operations; previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
• Good command of English and French, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hotel reservation and property management systems such as Opera and IHG systems, and of distribution channels including OTAs and GDS.
• Understanding of pricing strategies, demand forecasting, inventory management and key performance indicators (Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, organization and team leadership.
