Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Algeria)

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead HR strategy for its operations in Algeria. Reporting to the Regional HR Director for Turkey, North‑West Africa and Egypt, the role will partner with senior business leaders to drive people initiatives that support growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives, including workforce planning and talent acquisition.
• Oversee organizational design, headcount planning and succession management to build a scalable structure.
• Provide strategic HR counsel to senior leaders, influencing decisions on people‑related matters.
• Ensure consistent, compliant HR operations across employee relations, legal requirements and change initiatives.
• Lead and develop the local HR team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement of HR services.

Required profile

• University degree (advanced education is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a senior or leadership role, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong command of English; additional regional language skills are advantageous.
• Proven experience managing complex HR operations across multiple locations and handling labour‑relations matters.
• High emotional intelligence and ability to influence leaders in a matrixed organization.
