About the role

The Heart of House Specialist supports daily operations across multiple hotel departments, ensuring clean and well‑maintained environments for guests and staff. Working at Marriott International in Algiers, you will handle linens, dishes, and other utility items while operating and maintaining cleaning equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, transport, and store clean linens and dishes throughout the hotel.
• Operate industrial washers, dryers, dishwashers and related equipment safely.
• Assist kitchen, food‑and‑beverage, and laundry teams with cleaning tasks as needed.
• Maintain a safe work area by following company policies and reporting hazards.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and arranging items up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Ensure uniform, personal appearance, and professional communication at all times.

Required profile

• No secondary education or GED required.
• No prior experience or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk for long periods and perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
• Capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb independently.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and report incidents promptly.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial washing, drying, and dishwashing equipment.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.
