About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support its HR Unit. Working under the overall supervision of the Resources Management Officer and directly reporting to the Human Resources Officer, the assistant will contribute to recruitment, payroll, and contract management for non‑staff and hourly contracted personnel.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment activities: publish vacancy notices, receive and sort applications, arrange interviews and tests, prepare documentation, communicate with candidates, and conduct reference checks.
- Oversee the full payroll process for non‑staff and hourly workers, including timesheet verification, calculation of hours and rates, ensuring timely payments, and addressing payroll queries.
- Manage contract renewals for non‑staff and hourly personnel by tracking end dates, preparing updated contracts, securing signatures, and maintaining accurate HR system records.
- Carry out pre‑employment tasks such as preparing Entry on Duty (EOD) documentation and related onboarding activities.
